Kerry Wanting Swiftboat Book Banned

Drudge is reporting that Kerry, champion of free speech and Vietnam war hero, wants the recent book [Unfit for Command:Swiftboat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry] on his service pulled from shelves. Oh, the irony.

Even if the book can be proven false, it's still speaks volumes that many of the men who were Kerry's 'Band of Brothers' think he is unfit for command and would go to such lengths to prevent his presidency.

John Kerry is Wrong for Washington [Pt. 2]

Independent Estimates Of Senator John Kerry's Campaign Promises Shows They Would Cost At Least $977 Billion Over 5 Years And $1.9 Trillion Over 10 Years. This is new government spending on top of the President's budget. The costs are only for 44 out of Kerry's 85 campaign promises. There were not enough details to determine the cost of Kerry's remaining proposals. Kerry's new spending can only be paid for with higher taxes on all Washingtonians.

Kerry Voted Against President Bush's Tax Cuts In 2001 And 2003. The tax cuts Kerry opposed have directly benefited Washington: 2.3 million taxpayers in Washington have seen their income tax bills reduced. 525,000 small business taxpayers in Washington have additional tax savings to invest in new equipment, expand facilities and hire additional workers. More than 780,000 married couples in Washington are benefiting from marriage penalty relief. Over 570,000 families in Washington have benefited from the increase in the child tax credit from $600 to $1,000. (U.S. Treasury Department, "The Economic Growth And Tax Relief Reconciliation Act Of 2001 & The Jobs And Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act Of 2003 Will Provide Benefits To 2.3 Million Washington Taxpayers," Press Release, 4/1/04)

Kerry's Tax Hikes Would Cripple Small Businesses. "91 percent [of small businesses] pay personal rather than corporate income taxes." (Raymond J. Keating, Op-Ed, "A Good Year," The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, 1/6/04) Over 98 percent of Washington businesses are small. (Small Business Administration Office Of Advocacy Website, "2003 State Small Business Profile: California,"
www.sba.gov/advo, Accessed 3/23/04) In 2000, small businesses employed more than half of Washington's workforce. ("2003 State Small Business Profile: Washington," Small Business Administration Office Of Advocacy Website, www.sba.gov/advo, Accessed 4/22/04) Between 1999 and 2000, small businesses added 78 percent of new jobs in Washington. ("2003 State Small Business Profile: Washington," Small Business Administration Office Of Advocacy Website, www.sba.gov/advo, Accessed 4/23/04)

Kerry Supported A Half-Dollar Increase In The Gas Tax. "Kerry said [the Concord Coalition's scorecard] method did not accurately reflect individual lawmakers' efforts to cut the deficit. 'It doesn't reflect my $43 billion package of cuts or my support for a 50-cent increase in the gas tax,' Kerry said." (Jill Zuckman, "Deficit-Watch Group Gives High Marks To 7 N.E. Lawmakers," The Boston Globe, 3/1/94)

Kerry Has Voted For Higher Taxes On Social Security Benefits At Least Eight Times. He also voted to increase taxes on seniors making as little as $34,000 per year. Seniors make up 11.2 percent of Washington's population. (U.S. Census Website,
www.census.gov, Accessed 3/15/04)

Kerry Is Opposed To Healthy Forests Legislation And Missed The Vote. The Healthy Forests legislation is playing an essential role in preventing forest fires in Washington.

Kerry Voted Against Funding For The F-22 Raptor At Least Five Times, In 1995 and 1996. Boeing manufactures several key components for the F-22 in Washington. Boeing makes "wings, aft fuselage (including the structures necessary for engine and nozzle installation), radar system development and testing, avionics integration, the training system, and flight-test development and management." (Boeing Website, "F/A-22 Background Info,"
http://www.boeing.com, Accessed 3/4/04; Federation Of American Scientists Military Analysis Network Website, "F-22 Raptor," http://www.fas.org/man, Accessed 3/4/04) In 2002, Boeing Integrated Defense System's Washington state division employed between 5,500 and 5,700 workers. (Paul Nyhan, "Boeing Actually Adding 600 Jobs," Seattle Post-Intelligencer, 12/17/02) "A $9.55 billion contract for Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) of the F-22 was awarded to the industry team of Boeing and Lockheed Martin in August 1991. Contract changes since then have elevated the contract value to approximately $11 billion." (Federation Of American Scientists Military Analysis Network Website, "F-22 Raptor," http://www.fas.org/man, Accessed 3/28/04) Kerry proposed cancellation of the B-1 Bomber in 1984. ("John Kerry On The Defense Budget," Campaign Position Paper, John Kerry For U.S. Senate, 1984) Kerry voted against funding the B-1 Bomber at least four times, in 1990, 1995, and 1996. Boeing does B-1B upgrade work in Seattle, Washington. (Boeing, "Air Force Awards Contract To Boeing For B-1B Lancer Bomber Upgrades," Press Release, 2/12/97) WEAK ON HOMELAND AND PORT

Kerry Helped Lead The Fight Against President Bush's Department Of Homeland Security. Senate Democrats including Kerry stalled Homeland Security for 112 days. In 2003, Kerry skipped the vote on $29.3 billion Homeland Security appropriations. The vote Kerry missed included $4.9 billion for border protection and customs and $2.888 billion for immigration and customs enforcement. (Senate Republican Policy Committee, "Homeland Security Appropriations/Final Passage," 7/24/03) President Bush's 2005 Homeland Security budget includes a "10% increase over FY 2004 for the Department of Homeland Security, a doubling of funding for DHS programs since FY 2001" and a "$450 million (5%) increase for border security; $1.9 billion for port security efforts and a $490 million (9%) increase for the Coast Guard." ("President Bush's Budget And Washington," Fact Sheet, The White House, 2/2/04)
Kerry Says He Will Review All Trade Agreements. "I'm going to go back and have a 120-day review of all of our trade agreements. And we're going to re-adjust those trade agreements that aren't working, that need to be." (Sen. John Kerry, Remarks At Town Hall Meeting, Vinton, IA, 1/13/04) Open trade has brought jobs to the United States. 103,900 Washington workers are employed by U.S. subsidiaries of foreign companies. (Organization For International Investment Website, "Investing In American Jobs: State By State,"
www.ofii.org, Accessed 4/23/04) "U.S. subsidiaries support 24,600 manufacturing jobs in Washington." (Organization For International Investment Website, "Investing In American Jobs: State By State," www.ofii.org, Accessed 4/23/04)

Kerry Voted Against The $87 Billion Iraq Supplemental. These funds provided body armor and other force protection measures such as armored Humvees, as well as health care for reservists, support for families and meals for injured soldiers.

I have a couple of quotes, or, Kerryisms, that Democratic canidate Sen John Kerry said that are VERY amusing:

  • The vast majority of our imports come from outside the country." - John F. Kerry
  • "If we don't succeed, we run the risk of failure." - John F. Kerry

  • "I have made good judgments in the past. I have made good judgments in the future." - John F. Kerry
  • "The future will be better tomorrow." - John F. Kerry

  • "We have a firm commitment to NATO, we are a part of NATO. We have a firm commitment to Europe. We are a part of Europe." - John F. Kerry
  • "Public speaking is very easy." - John F. Kerry
  • "A low voter turnout is an indication of fewer people going to the polls." - John F. Kerry
  • "We are ready for any unforeseen event that may or may not occur." - John F. Kerry

Kerry/Edwards: Wrong for Washington State

Too pessimistic. Too liberal. And wrong on issues vital to Washington State

Just thought I'd say this, because, our our state is mainly liberal, except Eastern Washington, but "the Johns" are too liberal combined for our state.

Punk-Voter Wants More Sheep

This won't make sense unless you read the ad along with this entry.

1. The national debt has skyrocketed. Bush can and should be faulted with this.
2. 43 Million Americans without health insurance. It's a widely known fact that prior to Bush taking office, everyone in America had health insurance. He took it away!
3. Cut Healthcare for war vets. Not good.
4. Bush's military record is pretty dubious, to be sure. However, isn't a tenure in the Air National Gaurd better then dodging the draft?
5. "Reponsible for an unemployment rate of 6%" First, they rounded up. When talking about a quarter billion people, rounding inflates the numbers rather drastically. Also, the economy was in recession during Clinton's final months. But somehow it's Bush's fault for not controlling the buisness cycle? PRESIDENTS DO NOT CONTROL THE ECONOMY.
6. Bush cut a youth employment program. Don't care. Glad it was cut. The government is NOT RESPONSIBLE for getting people jobs.
7. Bush cut Pell grants because the cost of college is decreasing. Numerically, tuition is going up, but incomes are increasing at a much faster rate. Most students also do not pay the 'cover price' at universities, getting financial aid from other sources to cover the majority of the tuition.
8. Bush withdrew from the International Criminal Court becomes US Citizens are beholden to US law, and no others in America or on American soil anywhere in the world. The ICC was just a tool of international statists.
9. UN Election Inspections. I don't think the UN should be lecturing groups on integrity, considering the millions of Dollars they took from Saddam. It's good Bush ignored them.
10. The government controls you without consent. Corporations control you with your consent. Yet governments are good and corporations are evil? Cracker jack logic, Punk Voter!11. Bush had more people focused on drugs then terrorism before 9/11
11. When no one took the threat of terrorism seriously. But after 9/11, he took charge and changed priorites. But he still has people investigating drug crimes. So that's a reason to hate Bush? For investigating threats to our nation and harmful drugs AT THE SAME TIME?
12. Free Trade is good. I like Bush for this. Once Again, Punk Voter demonstrates that they don't have issues, but sound bites.
14. Bush is pro-life. That's good.
15. He's working on it douches.
16. Punk Voter is just lying here. The dinner was 6AM EST, but it was actually dinner time in Iraq. The turkey was a prop, but he did serve real food to the troops.
17. Freedom. Of. Speech. Had Bush censored the man, you can bet Punk Voter would have been up in arms.
18. I like the propaganda here. It accepts 1 claim as a fact to justify something else entirely. Bush should NOT attend soldiers funerals, because he cannot attend every one of them. It's not fair to some people to say 'Your son's sacrafice was less worthy of the President's time.'
19. Favors? In POLITICS? OH MY GOD PUNK VOTER, I DID NOT KNOW! And it isn't as if Elizabeth Cheney is unqualified for the position.
20. He dropped his dog lol bush stupid.

Once Again, Punk Voter works on the assumption "We're right. All we need to do is tell people things and they'll fall in line." Wanting more "Sheep" to come and follow their "Hate-Bush-Because-He-Did-Nothing-Wrong" ways.

Unfit For Command

A new book by John O'Neil, Unfit For Command--Released August 15th--, explains how John Kerry would be a horrible choice for Commander in Chief. He has 60 of his fellow Vietnam Veterans that were eye witnesses in acts, such as these:

* Two of John Kerry's three Purple Heart decorations resulted from self-inflicted wounds, not suffered under enemy fire.
* All three of Kerry's Purple Hearts were for minor injuries, not requiring a single hour of hospitalization.
* A "fanny wound" was the highlight of Kerry's much touted "no man left behind" Bronze Star.
* Kerry turned the tragic death of a father and small child in a Vietnamese fishing boat into an act of "heroism" by filing a false report on the incident.
* Kerry entered an abandoned Vietnamese village and slaughtered the domestic animals owned by the civilians and burned down their homes with his Zippo lighter.
* Kerry's reckless behavior convinced his colleagues that he had to go -- becoming the only Swift Boat veteran to serve only four months.
